THE FIRE WITHIN

Disregarding the fire within

Is but to a sin akin.

For passion and determination

Cannot be given up on abstention.

What the heart desires, must you follow,

Or for life in self-pity you shall wallow.

Forlorn are the men that live a life of lies,

Giving up their dreams when they could've touched the skies.

The burn, the urge within sets one free,

From the world of perils, of expectations gone awry.

Follow your desires, do it with honor,

Or in society's pressure stay trapped forever.

A shell of uncertainty may surround the beginning,

To rise from that will make the character benign.

This urge, this want, if for once you delay,

Your dreams and desires forever it may waylay.

Once gone, the time shall return never,

Remorse is all you shall feel forever.

Your heart, your passion shall lead you into ascension,

The final opportunity you lose, lose you will your chance at redemption.

Thus your life in a way you must lead,

That your family you can feed while enjoying the deed.
