Recently, the issue in India being tolerant or intolerant was on fire and captured the headlines. A huge population of the nation had a huge number if opinions regarding this issue. An actor quoted in his interview “India is becoming intolerant”.
On this particular statement given by the actor, the public reacted in a quite ambiguous way. The political parties were taking advantage of the situation. A person putting his thoughts forward was thrashed by the people on the social media sites. This is a very important question that needs to be answered, “Why can’t one express his/her views openly?” And on the other hand, the media was playing a different role.
This is a very serious problem that’s why the Indian population is becoming so sensitive. People are charged with cases on expressing their views, cracking jokes or in some way or the other. People who actually don’t care about the world are suddenly reaching so hard on the statements given by these actors. People don’t want to understand, what the other person is trying to tell or express. People are just looking to what media is trying to show them. The Indian population needs to change their mind-set along with what they are hearing and then reacting.
‘PK’ was a movie which was based on the darker side of the religion, the things which are destroying humanity in the name of the religion. Reaction of the people for this movie was quite shocking, as someone wanted to file a case against the movie and actors associated with the movie. Why is it so that, people are trying to make other people aware of the situation in the society are day by day getting into trouble. This shows that the county is becoming intolerable.
If a person is unable to express his views about the current scenario, then definitely the country is heading towards becoming an intolerable nation.
