Old Days

Strangled was I when at a place
Calming my steps and heartbeat at its pace,
Eyes closed, under the shadowed rays
Rewinding the memories to find those days.
Speed of light like my mind ran
Paused when I was younger than a man,
Found myself in tiny uniforms,
Threaded my life with no rules or norms.
Reaching school with tiffin full of love,
Every bite made her as beautiful as a dove,
I was with her feeling her embrace,
Smiled for a while thinking those days.
Giving support to my stepping stones
Taught and helped me in every life's zones,
His support and care always made me amaze,
Faded and vanished those happy little days.
Seasons changed and so did the time
Riddled faces I found out of prime,
Hundreds possessed thousands of face,
Prologue was this to the end of good days.
How I came this far was my wonder
Losing myself where is what I did ponder,
Dried my pupils for I was going to brace,
Realising never to find those good old days.
