There are some instances and some experiences in our lives that are very hard to put down on a piece of paper .
I myself went through such an experience. It all started from our 10 rooms home (which outsiders refers as a corridor). The atmosphere was lit up as Flavium was going on and Protsahan, the cultural fest was about to begin . At night some of the seniors approached us for some purpose. Eagerness and curiosity was all in our mind while we all sat down in a room. ’Roadies Sabne Dekha hai’ sir asked and the next moment all of us were hooting. He explained us all about and excitation to take part in the event increased. One amongst all there was him X winner NM roadies. He described how he felt when he won, that moment I decided not only to take part but to win .
The audition round went quite well and entertaining (more for the gang leaders ). When I was asked in which team I wanted to go I chose “Pandey Sir” . I saw my image in him, spending most of his time on the ground and also he was a great leader.
Luckily the next morning I was standing behind him and after mutual decision of the whole team he chose me as the captain of our team named “Daredevils”. It was now time for our first task, as I mentioned some things are not possible to put on paper the task we performed were the same. Happening, entertaining (you can add as many adjectives as you want to explain or describe the epicenes of the task).Puzzle solving to sprinting around the college were awesome. We also got a task to make a video of the ongoing events. Adding to your knowledge the person having pen in hand is also the person who likes to be behind the camera rather to be in front of it .I took my weapon and did my best I could. I still remembering sitting in the room with my teammates hearing hooting and shouting of the ongoing fashion show. ”Jaldi banja yarr” we all sighed.
But as patience pays we did the video ,enjoyed the event and also won the task (which further helped me getting directly into the finals once the second last round was over ).Many team tasks were being performed and I still remember the shouting we did at the time of the task(I still got some pain left it seems ).
After eliminations final 5 were decided. Eagerly waiting for our final task to be announced we got to know it was based on popularity. We were asked to collect as much people as we can with our name card in their hands. With a glimpse of a second I dashed around the college in search of people. Though I felt exhausted I ran m heart out. From corridor to ground from ground to hostel running with pen and sheets in my hand I was running blindly. Turned all the tables, didn’t left any stone unturned, I also received some lovely words after I woke up when they were asleep.
When I reached the venue I saw a huge crowd but divided in two groups. Acknowledging towards the people who were in my support I stood beside the host. Heartbeats were tripled.
As the host said the difference between the winner and the runner up is just one head count, skimming I rolled my eyes over the crowd and baffled I stood. He announced that the runner-up has managed to get a total of 69 head count.
“DHUK DHUK” as the tension gripped me inside. Just then he looked towards me and shouted 70. The whole crowd went mad, I felt numb for some time. “ROADIE BAN GAYA, RATHORE RATHORE” the voice reached my ears. Happily I stood with my chest broadened. With another feather added to the hat, the journey from “Tu Banega ROADIE” to “Tu Ban Gaya Roadie” was awesome and unforgettable.
