An 'Affair' With Ma

Each one of us in our life wishes to have an affair with a girl who’s beautiful, cute and many other qualities that boys usually look for. Similarly a girl also wants to have an affair with a boy who’s tall, bold and masculine. Teenagers feel that by having an affair with someone of opposite gender gives them a ‘physiological uplift’ from their friend circle. This ‘physiological uplift’ gives them immense amount of pleasure when they discuss about these affairs in their friend circles.

But I’m slightly different from all these ‘uplifted’ teens. I don’t say that I’ve an affair, rather I proudly say that yes I also have an affair. I’m in affair for many years now. What all I said about my affair is cent percent. Factually, my affair and ‘date’ started on the very same day. It was then when I made my way through this ‘human traffic’ and finally came into existence on the auspicious 22nd day of March, 1995 at about 3:30 in the afternoon. This day is now celebrated as my birthday. It was a date with none other than my Ma. I just couldn’t stop myself from looking into her eyes and smiling. After a while, when my mother smiled back to me, I felt that my mother is saying “WELCOME TO THIS WORLD, MY SON”. That ‘return’ smile given by mother I won’t forget till I finally bid adieu to this world. It would always be with me. On every 22nd day of March, I celebrate my date with Ma.

For all these years this ‘affair’ has continued and I’m damn sure that it would continue for years to come by. Over these years my ‘partner’ urf Ma has been so humble, soft-spoken, patient along with understanding as well as caring. She even has been at times strict, so that I improved. Any affair is a success only when there is a mutual understanding and bond between both the partners in affair. She sees that I’m always happy and never short of any stuffs and demands. She tries her level best to fulfill my dreams and wishes. Due to all the above listed reasons, I just love this eternal affair with Ma.
