Remember Failures

I left my home,

Arrived with a vision,

A will to succeed,

And a heart with ambition.

Forgot past failures,

And tried to start anew,

Feelings of joy too much,

Feelings of fear too few.

I promised myself,

I would not get disheartened,

Never get distracted,

Never take myself for granted.

But when I forgot my failures,

I also forgot that I,

Had to keep my feet on the ground,

And not in the sky.

Because when I fall,

And I did,

I would realise,

I am just a dumb kid.

Took myself for granted,

Time and again,

Expected success,

But only got pain.

So my message is this,

Loud and clear,

Remember failures,

Remember fear.

Because it drives you on,

Motivates you,

Makes sure you work,

And pulls you through.

Know your past,

And never let it go.

Remember it and work,

And very easily you’ll flow.
