THIS CHRISTMAS BE A SANTA

Christmas, the festival of giving gifts, is just round the corner and what would be a better gift than the gift which not only benefits a single person but a whole family (or rather a generation and the ones to follow!)- The gift of Education....

It is often said that all the major problems crippling our country are often caused due to the overpopulation in the country. However, to break this cycle we need the weapon of Education as an educated family understands the importance of family planning and thus, controlling the population will help in removing a major obstacle in the development of our nation.

India has an average literacy rate of 72.1% and finds itself at a low position of 92 among the top 145 literate countries of the world.... The more shocking fact is that while the male literacy stands at about 80.9%, the female literacy stands at an alarming 62.8% according to a UNESCO report published in 2015...

In the continuous race of ours to be a superpower we need to ensure that our females got their due education, as we have seen in the recent past that an educated woman, not only is an asset to her family, but also to the society as well as the nation. Also we know that , 'When we educate a son, we educate an individual, but when we educate a daughter, we educate a family.'

So this Christmas encourage street children to go to schools and if possible, do try to monitor their progress as it will ensure that you contribute to the betterment of not only the nation but also of the world....
