Mankind has waged wars against his own brothers throughout the course of history. All that has been accomplished is death, suffering and mass destruction. Yielding a sword at the mere prospect of disagreement is futile and has brought no good upon mankind. Rather peaceful arguments, discussions, compromise should be the approach to such a kind of problem.

Who would ave known that an inconspicuous object like a pen in times of war would prove to be the most powerful weapon of all, disarming the mighty missiles and other artillery? Looking back down the memory lane, the most relevant happening which epitomizes the India-Pakistan partition. Everyone was so preoccupied with the celebration of freedom, forgetting that the British had something in their pockets. Little did knew that the future years of their independence would pass in conflict only because the British used their pens to divide the country into two, thereby jeoparidising their unity.

Don't be mistaken, just as the pen has the power to start a war, it also has the power to pacify it. Many peace treaties have been signed, many international laws have been ratified just to help and provide the much awaited support to the people of the planet. Who knows, maybe both the World Wars could have been extirpated if had been approached from a different point of view.

So, this question in front of us, which one of them is mightier, the pen or the sword? One has the power to obliterate while the other has the power to crack, be it new relations between enemies or creation of new laws beneficial for the mankind, the decision finally rests in the hands of the holder.
