Yes, the above said words are very true for children of this very generation. Seriously, a small child is seen reciting his lessons all day long. One can even find a child of 1st or 2nd grade going for tuitions. He’s asked and forced to study well, when it’s his time for enjoyment, pleasure and non-stop fun. Such a small child, who goes to the tuition, has barely learnt to speak and write his name clearly in his school.
Children nowadays are so deeply involved in studies, that they don’t have time for self recreation. They are often said study hard and get good grades in the examinations. Forcefully, sending them to tuitions adds to their pressure and for children, it is very difficult to maintain a balance between the two worlds- one of school and the other being tuitions. Parents don’t realize the fact that each student has a certain potential or limit which is completely different from other children of his peer group.
As the numbers of children are increasing in the society, demand for more number of tuition centers and tutors is also increasing day by day. Because of the current scenario, education is slowly turning into business, where the profit is meant only for educators like- the coaching centers, tuition teachers etc. In most of the cases, parents are not often seen on the profit side. These tuition and coaching centers enroll 70-80 students at a time in one class and asked them to study. This enrollment is roughly double the number of students studying in a classroom in schools. Each and every student is rarely given personal attention. Not only that, they even ask for a lump sum amount of money. They aren’t even bothered about the students who are unable to catch with the pace of tuitions. At the end, it is the student himself who is forced to do all the learning processes himself.
Students these days are so burdened by the load of studies and hardly have a time for going out and have a good time with friends and family. As a result of this, children are unable to participate in any of the outdoor games. By chance, even if they play, they are not familiar with rules, as they’ve never played such games. They get easily tired and even feel exhausted, as they aren’t familiar to such an exposure. Rather, these days, children engage themselves by sitting in front of the television watching cartoons or playing games. Children find great fantasy while playing such games, but they don’t realize that this so called fantasy of the ‘virtual’ world is restricted only to computer or mobile screens.
For experiencing a real world fantasy, they should stepout of their homes and play. By playing outdoor games, they get aware of rules and will be able to play with proper code of conduct as well as rules and regulations. It would also help them, budding skills like team work, discipline etc.
Thus, for mental and physical freshness, children should be allowed to go out and play.
CHILDREN SHOULD NOT BE STOPPED FROM PLAYING, ELSE BEHIND DARK FUTURE, IT’S YOU!!
